Robert Craig Winery
Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Love what time has done to this wine. All my favorite HM traits are there- intense blue fruit nose with pencil lead, and mint. Similar palate minus the harder edges that come with younger wines. Not the monster their Veeder is, but this can hang quite nicely now or for a few more years.

Interesting transition on this one over the last 6 months (when I had my other bottle). It's grown old school in a good way. What I typically find to be an intense mountain fruit experience experience has evolved more into a medium bodied palate of figs, olives, plums, herbs, and mint. Very well rounded wine.

My first "mountain" Craig wine and man is it a winner. The cork looked a little sketchy coming out but the wine is in perfect shape. Leather wrapped cherries on the nose, bramble, rich dark fruits and a little chocolate. Medium full bodied. Killer!
