It was a bit tight at first so double decanted. But once it opened up it sang all the right notes. A splurge wine (for me) and worth every penny. Paired with Steak Rossini and Pommes Anne. Yowzer!

May 7th, 2020Great nose of leather, tobacco, and plum. Elegant flavors of plums, cassis, licorice and baking spices. Tannins are very sleek and excellently integrated. This is a beautiful wine and probably has a few more years of life in it.

May 19th, 2016Very subtle nose of spice. Flavors of blueberry and cocoa with some intricate but soft hints of baking spice. Tannins are velvety and acidity is balanced. Not sure whether this wine has many more years in it but it is an elegant representation of Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon.

Decanted for about20 minutes and then enjoyed the deep dark red appearance of the full bodied smooth berry flavored taste. No young bite just smooth satisfying flavor. Outstanding!!birthday celebration with my lovely wife.
