That bottle weighs more than a pyramid brick. Funny theme on the label art. King Tut and Karl. (Whoever that is…). Good deep color. Purple center with red edges. This smells fresh and juicy. Dry leaves, over-ripe berries, and incense. Flavors are pretty ripe and silky smooth. There is a certain complexity there. It’s high ABV at 14.5%, but it’s not particularly hot on the tongue. There is a savory, umami type thing in there. Kinda reminiscent of salty plum sauce. This like that Layer Cake Shiraz surprised me. And I think they expect you to age it for longer than 3 years judging from that thick walled bottle ;-).
