Before Pinot ruled in the Yarra Valley, Cabernet was King and this wine hearkens back to that time. It shouldn't be a surprise considering the likes of Mount Mary and Yarra Yering but this region can produce some top class Cabs. 25 years on and this is a little beauty, cool and elegant, fully mature with earth, wood and a hint of spice. Lovely.
