Jul 3rd, 2016Hard to pick out the flavors in this one but black currant and wet dog (but strangely not unpleasant). Lot of dark fruits, black currant, mild tannins and a dash of bitterness. Powerful and nice wine but not worth the price.

Blackberry compote, lavender, iris, black peppercorns. Seductive silky texture, perfect acid/smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, spicy peppery finish. Excels beyond price point, outstanding purple drank.

Needed a good 4 hours to really come into it's own. At which point it became an elegant balance of texture and fruit. Not much left by then...
