Kallstadter Steinacker Kabinett Riesling

Oldie but a goodie. Not particularly complex, maybe past it's prime. Medium deep gold. Some apple-y fruit, some button mushroom, just the faintest whiff of petrol.

Beautiful, complex, old-fashioned Kabinett. Light and airy, understated peachfruit, fabulous minerality and a typical earthy, gravelly, hearty soy-like complexity. Resolving residual sweetness and tiptoe-ing acidity provide exceptional balance. Alas, ultra-traditional wines like these are getting very rare.
