Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhone Blend

Drank 11/25/19. Decent pairing with burgers.

Nose of plums, some spice, underbrush, and some cherry cola. Mixed red and black fruit on the palate with some spice notes. A tad ripe on the medium finish. Overall one of the best $7 wines I've had.

Drank again 2 days later with lamb chops. It made for a much better pairing and more enjoyable wine. I would bump this up another point or two.

First time I've been able to find the Kirkland Côtes du Rhône villages, and I'm impressed. Raspberry, dried cranberries, as well as notes of classic provencal herbs on the nose. This is followed by a bright palate of cherry and raspberry with earthy undertones of clay and leather. A serious value, and makes me wish I would have bought more than one. It also paired perfectly with homemade coconut chicken tikka marsala! ($7) [4/10/20]

Dry, cherry. Some spice. Cheap, but Not my fav from the Rhône region where there are lots of value plays.

Smells like pork ribs, blood and rusty nails on the palette.

Syrah with dark fruit and jam flavors, smooth with a subtle spice. Earthy yet jammy.

Delightful surprise! Do not let the price scare you away. Very good wine.

Great acid balance. Strong but not too dry or sweet. Can’t beat it for $7

Light red wine. Perfect for a variety of dishes. Great buy at $7.
