Received 10/2015. Consumed 12/2018. This is aged for 24 months and 99% French oak, 67% new. The flavor profile is inky/purple color. Deeply aromatic with blue and black fruit tones and mineral notes. Well extracted, rich layers, with chewy tannins and a luscious long finish. Of note, the Mount Veeder region produces Cabernet berries that are abnormally small, resulting in intense concentrated flavors. The mountain vineyards signature is clear in this wine. Alcohol is 15.0% by volume.
