Beautiful Aussie Shiraz that is drinking great right now. As is typical, does not show any signs of its actual 15 year age. Took about 2 hr decant to fully open up and show its bright, deeply layered fruit with a nice earthy backbone. Could def go another 5-7 years!

Jan 25th, 2013Winning wine from Richard Betts to the girl beside me who beat me out and correctly called the wine (region and varietal) at Food & Wine in Aspen in June 2012. It was a fantastic wine! Big black fruit, tar. I called it incorrectly as a Cote-Rotie from 2008
