Bottle 1 was maderized, exchanged and I'm very pleased. The first one was flat, oaky water. This bottle is layered and holds boisterous fruit. Really fun wine to try right after that excellent 03. I prefer the 03 only because it has the bell pepper notes i love. This is on the riper side(which isnt typical for the vintage), its almost fully developed and had me very intrigued. A harmonious amount of black/red fruit, earth and oak.

Texture can't always carry the day...apart from a pleasant plush quality, nothing to write home about, especially for the vintage. Hollow and short.

No change of color since its youth, and no oxidation or ill effects of age. Lovely, supple texture and a pure, understated flavor profile. Built to last.

Mineral, earth with dried currant and slight blueberry the extra time in the bottle was well worth it.
