Deep but bright, not as brooding as I expected. It’s meaty, but has a soft edge and a round finish. Lots of mocha/cocoa/coffee and some purple fruit with low acid. Good time to drink it.

Perfectly balanced Napa Cabernet, estate grown and 100% CS. The taste is classic Rutherford with mocha cherries and dusty tannins lingering on the tongue.

Ultra dry blueberry, strong tannins. Slightly flabby on the mid pallet, but long minerality on the finish.

Decanted for 2 hours. Delicious and juicy with loads of plums dusted in baking spices, blackberry cobbler, and moist tobacco leaf with traces of damp, black soil. Young still, but delicious nonetheless.

Sunset before 5pm and it feels colder out than it looks. As I️ enjoy this soul-warmer, I’m sadly reminded that my wine club member friend just moved to the west coast. Must conserve my last few bottles!
