This 2012 has an interesting story because it was opened a decade ago with a Corivin. Guess what: it’s still fantastic.
Earthy old leather and tobacco mingle with dark blackberries, plum, and dark cocoa.
I hope I age as good as this.

Tasted the Rutherford against Freemark Abbey's sister wine from Napa (same vintage). I preferred the Napa (albeit, I prefer the left bank over the right bank Bordeaux's). The Rutherford had twice the Merlot over Napa.
Note: after an hour sitting, I've upgraded the Rutherford to a 9.0

Beautiful dustiness with slight dried fruits on the nose. Stewed red fruits and subtle tannins on the palate.

Excellent wine! I like their standard wines for value, but this 2012 Rutherford AVA is impressive. Cheers!

V12. So Good... Deep purple color, dusty white pepper and soft cedar nose. Rich black currant fruit. Dry, smooth, tight, mocha, black pepper and leather finish. Well balanced . Excellent food wine.
