Great example of an Alexander Valley Cab. 2012 is the best vintage yet. Smooth and round, but powerful. Aged 2 yrs French oak and grown primarily in mountainous vineyards, this has a great flavor. Big, concentrated black cherry up front, very smooth with a little bit of dark chocolate and pepper spice at the finish. Very nice soft tannins. Coppola's flagship wine, so winery exclusive.

I couldn't believe it had such a high rating. I used a Venturi aérateur and it still tasted like pure red wine vinegar. So, after aérating it, I decided to give it a couple extra minutes before drinking it to see if the flavor would change....but it still tasted like vinegar to me. In few words. Will not buy again.
