Clear and clean ruby red with thin edges. Fairly complex nose of flowers, dark fruit, herbs, and spices. This is not a “special” wine or a destination wine. It’s just a good old fashioned Italian red. Nothing more but definitely not less. Medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. Classic on the tongue with licorice, good Old World leather, raspberries, and oak. Such a pleasant everyday bottle.
