Bright fruit and solid garnet color. No browning. Amazing. Flavors are good. Fruit while still good it seems to be time. Decanted and will be great with tonight's steak dinner.

The 1998 was soft and silky. Full bodied. Great nose and a smooth finish. A wonderful wine.

Very much on its last leg. Very brown rim and lost most of its tannins. Still a nice drop with a steak and onion soup.

As Mr Spock would say...fascinating. A less than stellar year but a pretty darned good bottle at this point. If 2011 in Napa turns out this good it would be a miracle.
