Decent tasting flight of "winter reds." Cotes du Rhone, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Zinfandel surprisingly the best, but the waiter gave us a glass and half of this guy for gratis for being good sports.

Feb 4th, 2015Sublime. Wild strawberries leap from the glass over a background of decaying leaves. Sure there is VA, but it is balanced. Surprisingly advanced. This wine is elegant and the epitome of Grenache, a variety I'm not generally enthused about. Opened about 1hr before serving, no decant, just slow ox.
