Ongoing quest to understand Alsace. This is in a terrific place: spicy, with that baroque, apricot-marmalade richness, but still extraordinarily fresh. Little to no botrytis. Highly suspect ’02 is the drinker’s vintage for this wine in the first half of the aughts.
