Reddish violet color. Translucent but dark. Warm fruit nose. Notes of red cherry, kirsch, herbs, Warm in the mouth, almost to a fault, thanks to the vintage. Rich. Overwhelming. Not my cup of tea.

Intense spicy black pepper like no wine I've had before, together with a deep raisiny, leathery fruit basket. A bit jarring at first, but within an hour became a fascinating, well-integrated masterpiece.
