2010 vintage. Still rather sturdy and structured. Fruit quality seems ripe and roasted, with red plum, raspberry, black cherry, tobacco, allspice, sagebrush. Seems like it still had quite a few years left in it.

Roasted hazelnuts upon the first whiff - tight fruit starts to loosen into pips and skins. Big, bold and worth it. Could've lasted another 5, yet hey, it's Valentines.

Outstanding. Dark fruits, say black dried figs or prunes, with chocolate-y tobacco and still a pretty strong tannin backbone. Luscious on the palate.
