Fennel bulb, lean, great tannins and acidity, picked up flesh after it was opened a while, soft and grippy, lots more life

Perfectly sound nose of aged, classic cab. Flavor is a little muted, might be the bottle but not as alive as a '77 Mondavi Reserve from June
