This vintage displays a very intense peaty campfire aroma along with a damp forest floor underbrush character that I’m loving. Great contrast from the 2016.

On the nose; red floral explosion, blackberries, black raspberries, black cherries, strawberries, gummy fruit character with a touch of v/a.

On the palate; smokiness, savory meats, blackberries, dark cherries, blue fruit notes, violets, red flowers, bit of a carbonic Gamay quality, beautiful acidity with a balanced round finish.

Fruity and oak on the nose. Liquorice, earthy and smoky. I’ll save my peat for scotch, thank you.
