Much too bold and tannic for my tastes. The dark fruits are definitely there, but they are puckering, and not balanced at all. I found it to be abrasive. It was destined to become a bottle of cooking wine, but luckily some friends found it good enough to finish. I wouldn’t buy this again (and it was picked for my taste... somehow). I’ve never had a California wine I liked, so it’s ironic that this was somehow selected for me based on what kind of chocolate I like... at least I tried something I would never have purchased...
