Nose has ripe blueberry, over-ripe blackberry, ripe plum, blackberry jam, faint anise, dry cigar, faint wood smoke and a bag of green & red peppers.
Palate has ripe plum, blackberries, black cherry, prune, old chocolate, faint moist earth and light artificial sugar.
Incredibly smooth, light tannins, but what an amazing red blend! Such an easy drinker, but coupled with a great CA vintage, a total win.
Cleaned the grill today, never ever done this in March in the Berkshires! Clean grill and warm weather equals an early start to the grilling season; beef flap steak from Kinderhook Farm (Valatie, NY) tonight, 135°F with 15m rest, beautiful pair to this wine.
