Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

2008 vintage showing its age for sure but some nice redeemable spice and stewed fruit maybe even liqourice . But definitely on the down hill slope

Raspberries, raisins, some notes of flowers. Very smooth, but may be a year past peak.

Really flavoursome

Drank this with a short ribs and Asian salad combo. Delicious. Nick loved it

This wine is the reason I like valpolicello! Somehow a translucent royal red color. Notes of red fruits on the nose. If given a hard swirl, that chilie pepper nose sneaks out. It's low on acidity. Not silky but smooth. Typical jammy taste, think raspberry and toasted dark chocolate. Amazingly no strong hint of raisin, which is a downfall of such technique. Def will buy again.
