Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

A real pleasure to drink. 2007 is in a great window of cellar age. Still showing loads of black fruit, cassis, dark chocolate. Some minty freshness and eucalyptus. Very soft, plush palate.

82 pointer right here lol! smh. This is so good. Just starting to show its potential.

1 hour decant(lots of fine/cloudy sediment). A prodigious dark ruby red color. On the nose: subtle notes of brambly black cherry, blueberry, nutty vanilla, touch of worn leather, floral. Taste: smooth, soft wine with mellow notes of black fruit, mocha, cedar, little bitter tea and a medium finish.

Drinking great! Velvet red fruits. Sleek acidity. Touch of classic stags earthy terroir.

I've been lukewarm on several cuvees and vintages of Cliff Lede, feeling that they were good but should be better. This one delivered the goods. Yum.

Aging very nicely! Dark Cherry, plum and cigar box aromas.
