A wonderful wine, distinctly new world but with an amazing smoked meat flavor I only expect from a Northern Rhone. Great balance, rich without the burn. Clarendon continued to be the best Aussie production I'm aware of.

Quite powerful wine even after eight years in the bottle. Notes of cocoa and lots of dark fruit and supple tannins. Really, really good after 30 minutes in the glass.
