Almost Pinot-like Grenache. Lovely effort from this Rayas-owned property.

Was expecting more from this bottle. High alcohol, took an hour to get to a Rayas like nose but the palate disappoints :-/

2006. A gorgeous wine. Light in body and color for Vacqueyras, though long on flavor and intensity.

A little over 5 years since my last btl. Not quite the flamboyant perfumed, Rayas-like nose that I remember this as having, but a more elegant refined version: sandalwood, dried mint leaf, rasperry, incense. On the palate: very good acidity, bitter medicinal herbs, good density, black cherry, very soft tannin on the finish. Wow, definitely mature, but still stunning.
