This is 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache from AOP Côtes du Roussillon. Label says Château L’ou, L’ou in bigger and bigger letters. Simple label. Dark as night color. Still opaque color. Has tar and licorice with the stewed plums on the nose. A bit of gravel on the end like all these southern France blends of Syrah and Grenache. Flavors are blackberry cobbler and wet stuff. Juicy. Big wine. Pretty classic southern stuff. In my wheelhouse. A great red.
