Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

Very full body amarone

Anniversary wine-

One of our favorite wineries near Verona, this 09’ is showing well.

Garnet/brick

Full on nose of a plum - Raisin hazelnut crusted bread pudding.

Used boot leather tea, tobacco, dark, dark, lord of the rings dark, berries.

Acidic stave, lingering tones of darkness.
Wait, I mean happiness. Lusty happiness. It is an anniversary wine after all.

Very nice but just did not seem to totally open.

Pronounced nose of dried fruit, dark cherry, pencil, maybe something herbal--lots going on! Booze hits you when you get to sipping, as expected with Amarone, but the dried fruits really ramp up to meet it. Intensely flavored. Long finish of prune and fig and the like. This is for a cold night and a close conversation.

Chocolate? #flatironwines called it life changing Amarone. I dig it. Not sure it was worth $60.

Very tasty. Satisfying and perfect for a stay at home date night with your love. Lovely on the tip of the tongue
