First experience with The Rocks District. Interesting nose magic marker, black olive juice, new car leather, wet gravel. I wonder if thats common? Cherry up front on the palate with black olive and cocoa powder coming through. Tannin is all stucture without the grip or weight you might expect from a relatively young and intensely flavorful cab. Feels soft and plump but not heavy. Moderate acidity lends just enough freshness to the finish. Excited to explore more from this young ava, especially the syrahs! If anyone has reccomendations im all ears...
