Lighter than previous vintages, baking spices, skin tannin mid palette, painting the way for blackberry jam, without the sugar. Acid and tannin are mellow and together, the oak gives off a Lot of vanillin. Easy quaffer.

Great dark berry fruit, rich and substantial but good balance, this 2016 is drinking well now. Subtle earthiness makes this very interesting.
