Compared to the herold, this is more fruit forward and less tannin. What i like about this wine is that the oakville structure shines through even though it is so opulent. Prob my favorite non-beckstoffer wine they make still. Against the herold, it's a better value.

2014 Oakville Ehrlich Vineyard, excellent wine. Was great on its own and even more so with the filet. One of the better wineries in Napa.

Dec 3rd, 2017Licorice and cookie spice on the nose. Prominent fruit up front, blackberry, with a long finish. Would imagine that this should age well, if you have the patience and discipline.

2) 2013 hunnicutt napa cab (thick mid palate. Finish not as long as ehrlich)
3) 2015 quivet napa (dark/delicious/vanilla) / 2014 venge silencieux (reddest of the bunch/more classic)
5) hall 1873 (needs the most air/got some cedar)
