100% Nebbiolo
Bricked purple. Opaque, non transparent. Compact rim. Looks its age.
Aromas full of earthy characters. Black truffle, ashes, damp soil, wet rotten woods, with licorice flavored coffee, slight hint of dark chocolate.
Structurally, this wine has a long way to go yet. Substantial but completely integrated tannin, medium to med full body (14.5 abv), medium to med plus acidity, dry. Dried black cherry, fig, prune and plum. Fine texture. Mineral and ashy notes. Dusty. Balanced, carrying through from the first sip until the finish. Last very long on that enticing dried fruit and ashy profile.
At a great place to drink now. At $30+ in NYC, this's got to be my find of the year so far. Amazing bottle. Loved by everyone I shared with. 92.

Interesting wine. Quite brown in the glass. One in our group had the best aroma description: Worcestershire sauce mixed with dark fruit. Probably better a few years ago, this was lacking a bit of acid, tannin, and intensity. Still nice.
