Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!
Obviously in a similar vein to the other two, this was drinking perfectly. Very Bordeaux like. Abundance of flowers, tar, charcoal, aged black cherries and mocha aromatics. More of the same on the palate with added pipe tobacco, some tangy rhubarb, and black pepper at the finish. Drink now and enjoy.

Just delicious. Much better than the last bottle a year ago. Beautiful nose with just loads of dark fruit. Everything supremely integrated. Perfect pairing with pork with a fennel gremolata. Excellent acid, still some good and slightly dusty tannins. Delicious.

Aug 23rd, 2020Not my favorite Arietta. Tons of vanilla sort of overwhelms the fruit on the palate. Great nose, though. A bit hot on the finish.
