Screw cap gem from the Central Coast. Rich layered flavors of dark chocolate and red, black and blue berries. Ultra soft tannins and a nice long finish. — 2 years ago

Maybe a bit raisin-y around the edges, there’s still plenty to enjoy in this wine. Elevation or not (1650 ft, according to the bottle), this feels like a Central Valley California Cab: lots of warm days, red and black ripe fruit. You’ve got some graphite and mineral in the background, through, which doesn’t feel so Californian (mint, too). Bring it to a party and stump your friends...or at least pique their curiosity. — 6 years ago

I’ve had several wines from Eden Canyon - and I make no secret of my admiration for the winery - but this is one of the best. 12 years in the bottle have rendered the tannins non-existent. Smooth, supple, dark, mysterious, inviting and alluring...you stop trying to think about what your tasting, but instead fall into the experience. Lovely with a dinner of pasta and meat sauce, this wine would have shined by itself. — 5 years ago

This was a really nice wine, food friendly and delicious. You’ve got a core of bright citrus, but around the edges you’ve got ripe stone fruit and red apple. Floral and mineral notes round out the picture. A nice obscure grape from a solid region. — 6 years ago

The richness of the Tempranillo is brightened by the affirmation of the Garnacha. A very nice wine, taking the best of both worlds. — 5 years ago

Nice Chablis with a bit of bottle aging. The nose features lemon curd, limestone, white flowers and a bit of white pepper. The palette is soft but vibrant, driven by a brisk minerality, carrying with it lemon custard, banana peel, limestone, marjoram and an odd sort of gingerbread at the end. — 5 years ago

Really solid offering at a good price. Bursting with tropical fruit, similar to NZ, but streaked with minerality and not popping with as much acidity. This feels like a new take on an old French favorite. — 6 years ago

I thought this was fantastic. I didn’t take any notes, sadly, but had this wine over multiple days with multiple meals and it stood up nicely. Great balance, citrus, floral and stone fruit notes, also quite possibly the most yellow colored wine I have ever drank (drunk?). — 6 years ago
