Dark berries and spice — 7 years ago
Médium garnet, legs, medium nose, potpourri, dried roses, slightly meaty and bloody, cumin and sage and smoke. On the palate it’s completely #californiawine with a rich and luscious body and flavors. Strawberry tart and rhubarb. With a touch of leather. Wicked #pinotnoir from #staritahills #zotovich — 7 years ago

Very little butter -- delicious and crisp, closer to a Chablis style. — 9 years ago

Super elegant and nuanced syrah from the zotovich vineyard. Just the right amount of acidity to make it perfect for pairing with grilled meats, like the steak here or your memorial day BBQ. Blair will be here Friday 5/27 pouring this and several other wines of his. Come for dinner and get this treat! — 10 years ago

Nicely done. Didn't take a snap, but enjoyed Joey's 2013 Zotovich Vineyard Chard as well. #CelebrationOfHarvest — 11 years ago

Medium lemon yellow. Subtle nose with notes of lemon, Golden Delicious apple, and pear with hints of honeysuckle. Medium body on the palate with minerality and refreshing acidity. Made from a blend of fruit from multiple SRH vineyards including 40% Rita’s Crown, 30% Bent Rock, 16% Clos Pepe, 10% Zotovich, and 4% Kessler-Haak aged 13 months in 15-20% new French oak. 14.2% ABV. — 7 years ago
Cherries, sour cherry pie deep garnet color. 2013 vintage — 7 years ago

Best Pinot Noir I have ever tried quite unbelievable... — 11 years ago
Great nose .... Nicely aged... A little spice mixed amongst the berries. Great wine! — 12 years ago
This was also relatively open but more complex than the Zotovich. It was my favorite Pinot of the evening. We also had the 2017 Pisoni but I failed to get a pic. The Pisoni was more complex like the Drum Canyon but I feel it will be better in the long run.
Paul Lato was in town and I had the chance to spend some time with him and taste through several of his new releases. His wines are great across the board. — 7 years ago
A little clenched on opening but quickly turning sappy and aromatic, with copious aromas of red currant, cranberry, and pine. Fresh and almost racy on the palate, with all of the fruit purity and animating acidity that are such a hallmark of the Santa Rita Hills in general and this especially cool, sandy site specifically. The 100% whole cluster inclusion is wonderfully integrated, contributing seamless, satiny structure and a hint of juniper and bay leaf on the finish. — 7 years ago
my new fave california pinot — 8 years ago
Normally I don't drink Pinot Noirs without food, but this was outstanding. A subtle burst of fruit up front with balanced oak mid-palette. I let it open up for about 15 minutes — 9 years ago

A new go to. Light, crisp, fresh acid, tropical fruit. Ballard Canyon — 10 years ago
Saving this one for years, just couldn't wait any more. Average rating on this Cab was 96 and it was every bit of 96+
