Generally not a white fan, but hoo-ah this was good with a spicy pasta dish. — 11 years ago
Little bacon on the nose. Nice blackberry pie too. Rich and ripe. Black strap molasses. Full. Extracted. Bombastic. But tasty too. All the fruit and oak come together for a harmonious experience. Like loud rock n roll in your car. Turn it up and sing along... — 6 years ago
Light golden yellow. Toasty oak is the head aroma in charge, backed up with a healthy helping of ginger, and a sampling of pineapple and banana. Full bodied with a creamy and buttery mouthfeel and low acidity. Flavors of pineapple, pears, cantaloupe and ginger, and it finishes long with a smooth coating of caramel apple. — 8 years ago
Needs very little if any breathing. Medium body and very neutral--not overly fruity or spicy. — 8 years ago
Yummy! Savory, with cherry, blackberry pie, with enough acidity and tannin to balance perfectly. — 8 years ago
Death, taxes, and my enjoyment of Jessup Cellars wine. 3 things that are guaranteed in this life. Are they the best wines you'll ever have? No. Are they consistently putting out great wine across multiple varietals? Absolutely.
This was my first Yolo County Petite Sirah from them and talk about bold and jammy. Almost port like initially. Tons of juicy flavors up front on the nose and all over your tongue. Big blue fruit, tart cherries, vanilla. This really calmed down and became velvet like on day two. Smooth tannins. Another winner from Jessup. — 9 years ago

Really light, vanilla on the nose. Sweeter smell then taste. Low acidity. Good with spice food or rich rood. Very delicate. — 12 years ago
Juicy and rich! Crowd pleaser on purpose. French varietals, mostly malbec. Definitely worth the cost. — 7 years ago
Acid. Substantial tropical fruit. Clean. I probably drank this way too young but fuck it YOLO — 7 years ago

Dark and heavy looking in the glass. Especially for a Barbera. Lots o fruit in the mouth but, smooth as Prince's silk sheets. — 9 years ago
Just a little sweet, in the right way. — 10 years ago
This is fantastic. The right mix of fruitiness and pepperiness. Smooth too. — 10 years ago
This is that wine that makes you grin stupidly when you first taste it. Our dinner guest for the exquisite meal at newly opened restaurant Pages. Silk, salted-butter caramel and angelica. YOLO. — 11 years ago
Tree Kilpatrick
Dark and stormy night. Smells mysterious and licorice-y. Plums. Cherries of the cooked and black sort. Flavor is smooth and juicy. Slight Rhône style flavor profile. Makes a nice compliment to meats and spicy faire. Plenty of depth. Fruit driven, but the backbone of Petite(s) and dark intense Tannat holds the bomb back. Just a lovely bombastic red blend from Yolo. CA wine for sure. Even hot climate CA red. But it has lots to offer. On the list with ‘The Boss’ for Yolo blend to watch. — 6 years ago
