You almost need a sixties sound track when sipping. Nice, earthy smell and taste, like Woodstock. — 8 years ago
2013 smooth and delicious - purchased in Woodstock VT for $16.99. Had garlic before drinking so may have more flavor/body if tried before such a meal. — 8 years ago

Licorice blackberry cedar nose. BIG mouth petite sirah with heavenly layers of tannins and berry. Super long bold finish. — 6 years ago
Went quite well with a beef fillet at a great restaurant in Woodstock Vermont.
Would order again.
Have its close cousin in my own cellar, quite close; blackberry, subtle tannins, a bit of leather and spice, currant.

Seriously, Malibu. Do you have to use an inch of wax to seal every bottle? You're really making me work for this one. Ripe black cherry and baking spice entices the nose. Young bright and fun on the palate. It's definitely equipped for aging across the decade. Just have a machete handy to bust through that wax. Paired tonight's offering with a massive rare tomahawk steak. Nom nom. — 6 years ago
Lucious, still very fruit forward with a long finish. Still tannic - could use another 5-10 in storage. Great wine - will try another +1 year out. — 7 years ago

Woodstock "The Octogenarian" Grenache Tempranillo 2011
I can't recall where I picked this one up from, but I have been enjoying the light-medium bodied wines lately and so I picked this young Grenache Tempranillo from McLaren Vale. Would have been under $30. Named after the Grenache vines that are over 80 years old, this wine is on the more medium body end and was just delicious. Nice tannin with the addition of Tempranillo grapes, the following tasting notes sum it up perfectly;
"Animated, pungent aromas of cherries, ginger and pomegranates which continue on the palate with a delicate touch of cinnamon and white pepper spice, supple yet textural. Released young to capture the vibrant berry fruits and spice. The addition of 15% Tempranillo helps tighten the finish and lengthen the palate of this Grenache." — 10 years ago

Dark and deep like the name. Drinking smokey deep dark purple velvet in a glass. Floral yet brooding and dark. A long time favorite. Decant at least one hour. Will age well. — 6 years ago
