Overall taste of squash with notes of walnut and pecan, or nutty with squash notes depending on the glass. Slightly buttery, and overally very flavourful and powerful. I loved it. Perhaps oaked Chardonnays are my thing?

This wine is very racy and succulent! Rich, beautiful red fruits, maraschino cherry(not the cheep-o cherries at your local dive bar..true maraschino cherries), mocha, allspice, vanilla bean, smooth tannins, medium plus body, and a very nice lingering finish! Overall, a fantastic red blend from Alexander Valley! I give this a 92! Drinks similar to their Dry Creek single vineyard cab without the heavier backbone of the cab! — 8 years ago
