I love the dusty rose note I get from Owen Roe Syrah in the aromas and on the palate. I also get cocoa, sweet spices, and blackberry aromas. The texture is lovely. I'd like to hold onto this for a few more years, but it is juicy and tempting now! — 7 years ago

A New Year's sparkler, the '05 Union des Proprietaires Recoltants 'Cuvée Sublime' Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Champagne is a bright golden yellow color. The nose is scented with tart apple, fresh baked bread and spicy citrus. Fine bubbles tingle the tongue with mineral-laced spice notes. Refreshing and nicely textured finish on this bargain magnum. — 9 years ago

Solid deep garnet red core. Beautifully complex nose, starting with dark fruits such as cassis. Slightly savory undertones too. Palate is full of fruit not overpowering and is very smooth. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Long, lingering, and smooth finish. Can't believe this was a PNP. Drink till 2026. — 8 years ago
