Picked up last year while in Oregon. Had more bite than I expected given other 2018s from Ribbon Ridge that I’ve tried but loved the peppery and lively finish! — 9 months ago
Reflects its sand terroir. Cherry, dry (not overly fruity). Opens up well with air. — 2 years ago
Less acidity than I am used to I. The Vaulorent. But still an almost ideal pairing with oysters. — 3 years ago
Wonderful with the oysters! Medium-bodied but bright. Highly structured. — 5 years ago
Yes, now we're talkin' -- heavy. Cherries; slight licorice. — 5 years ago
Light, crisp and slightly citrousy. Great for the summer! — 6 years ago
Very tasty! Could quite possibly be a new favorite... — 7 years ago
One of my fave Zin makers. This one with dashes of carignane and petite Syrah. Intensely flavored with ripe dark fruit, pencil shavings and baking spices. Lots of acid to lift the richness. Long finish of fruit and spice. — 8 years ago
Desert Island wine for certain.

Delicious fruity Pinot Noir with Pat’s spaghetti ($30) at a wonderful family dinner. — a year ago
Starts out with what seems like brett to the nose then opens up with nice “sweetness”. Missing a third dimension but performs well in two at 23 years. — 2 years ago
Lovely bottle of the ‘87 opened May 2019. I don’t have much experience with older vintages but seemed to have aged well although maybe a bit past it’s prime. Smooth and balanced with good depth of flavor. Perfect for a rich beef dinner with smashed Yukon golds and gravy. — 5 years ago
Enjoyed more than most others - rate it well - buy again. — 6 years ago
So oaky I like it even better when watching the grand Budapest hotel. Pairs well with Wes — 9 years ago

2016 lite and somewhat dry. Beautiful deep purple color. — 2 years ago
Still got it! Fantastic balance between lingering primary red fruits and full-on tertiary goodness: pomegranate, dried cherry, dried cranberry, mushroom, sage... if you got it, drink it! — 4 years ago
Rangy and effervescent. — 5 years ago
This wine is in a GOOD spot right now. CT Average of about 93, and I'd say that this is about right. 93-95 as this one still has probably 7-8 years before it is pop and pour. Acidic at the opening, but the patience (which we didn't have) would have served us well. Cabernet power from the front. Blackberry preserves, hint of mint, white pepper, hint of clove, middle that goes a little bit herbal, but still very considerable black fruit. Finishes strong, with pepper, spice. I know the last 750 I have is in danger, and hopefully I can also lay off the mag for at least a couple of years. — 6 years ago
Not too oaky, a lot of flavor but it's not overwhelming — 8 years ago
Very good!
