Hands down the best Pinot I've had in 2 years. Second best to Black Kite. Smooth, clean, earthy... — 11 years ago
Gros Ventre continues to be one of my fave. Thanks for the intro @Dan. Bit bigger than the Black Kite stony terrace. And beautiful. — 11 years ago
Very very good. Not too fruity. I like this a lot. — 12 years ago
Oh so good. Tropical fruit, soft oak, beautiful. — 8 years ago

Awesome blend! $30 wine but tastes like a $60 wine. — 9 years ago
What a superb wine for amazing value. Packs a citrus fruity punch & is crisp, dry finish. Exactly what you want from a NZ Sauvignon Blanc — 9 years ago
Wow, a marvelous and unexpected quartet of "white" wines (including white no skin Pinot Noir!) that makes for a spectacular blend, more like avant garde string quartet than a rock band, with dazzling aromatics and a plush structure from Pinot Blanc. My first time tasting Marcus Goodfellow's wines at Matello. The fact he also finds Viognier & Syrah in North Willamette and crafts remarkably true to terroir wines makes this a winery to follow! — 10 years ago

Just a great Sonoma Pinot. Always consistently good. Great fruit both on the nose and palate. — 11 years ago
Another outstanding Pinot from wine maker Jeff Gaffner (Black Kite).A fairly earthy nose with a bit of dark fruit. On the palette it's all plum, ripe plum, fragrant, exuberant with earthy tannins and a bit of aromatic wood, and fennel seed. It's super good and drinking very well. It is big and broad for a Pinot yet has the lightness and vitality of the grape. I hope to have it again. — 12 years ago
Pretty solid Willamette Pinot. Really loved visiting and chatting with Marcus yesterday. Ripe but with nice structure and acid still, bit young and would be best a bit further down the road. Ripe cranberry, bing cherry, and raspberry, potpourri and drying rose floral notes, gravelly mineral earth, and a bit of clove and anise-y spice character. Medium (+) acid, medium (-) intensity of fine grained tannins, and medium (-) body but with great, soft texture. Versatile on the patio with an array of grilled sausage and brats. — 8 years ago

Decant for an hour and let the forest floor explode. I'm a fan. Recommend for your uppity tree hugging friends! — 10 years ago
I was high as a kite drinking this so to me it tasted like a rainbow that was shot from a mango, and some morning dew collected from the horn of a unicorn. ... It was really tasty — 10 years ago
