Vivid orange-pink. Bright, minerally and focused on the highly perfumed nose, displaying fresh blood orange, strawberry and floral aromas that expand steadily with aeration. 2012 opened August 2017. Lots of fruit on the nose, but it's a bit ambiguous. Ripe plums with unripe cherries. The greenness of the unripe cherries gets me on the front of the palate. But very delectable otherwise -- all the way down. I was hoping for a bit more Tanic structure in a wine of this price point. I reluctantly give it a 9.0. Not the best that Silver Oak has done. Very drinkable, but not a great wine.

I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Herbaceous, acidic, has some cranberry, almost a ruby red grapefruit thing going on. Not super complex, but also not a new world fruit blast, which is a plus. — 9 years ago
