Holy smokes, keep your satchel on and don't wander off into the Instron machine — 8 years ago
Smells like raspberries & limestone wrapped up in seaweed and dipped in boysenberry syrup with a small dollop of wasabi. Tastes like inky, spiced black cherries, red currant, and jalapeño. Put on "Tezetayé Antchi Lidj (Baby, My Unforgettable Remembrance)," let your mind wander, and your loins tingle. — 8 years ago
Fresh, youthful, with structure, fruit and plenty of that great Riesling funk going on. This is so intact that I wander why I still try to drink older white burgundy — 11 years ago
I’m such a fan of this guy. I think he’s making really beautiful wines that are the perfect balance of functional/traditional and meditative and thought provoking. The 2014s continue to slay. I think you could let them wander a year or two more, especially if you favor the opulence of a touch of oxidation, but I don’t think you’ll regret approaching these now, especially if you drink them slowly! — 6 years ago
Hard to call a wine this big and hedonistically dark fun, but it was. A collaborative effort between Chateau Ste. Michelle and the Rhone's Michael Gassier. Would have been easy to let this wander towards fruit bomb but instead this is wonderfully restrained. Big currant, blackberry, herb, licorice, and smoked meat crust flavors. Very Rhoneesque take on new world Syrah. If they keep putting out vintages like this I would be shocked if the price stays around 20 a bottle, huge QPR. — 8 years ago
Beautiful rose water on the nose, bright acid, light/medium body. Delicious, easy wine to drink with friends and let your mind's wander. — 9 years ago
An impressive example of an often over looked appellation. In the glass, I wander from Chablis to Nuit St Georges Blanc and momentarily in Puligny. Not sure how or why and it doesn't really matter because this is a delicious wine. Not aggressive anything...just beauty and balance with a welcome inclusion of fruit and a touch of oak. — 9 years ago
Fruity, well balanced, hint of pepper on the rear of the palate, truly a Shiraz in nature, yet very drinkable. My first wander through this vineyard, may it not be my last. — 6 years ago
This one is going to need a new hours. Some funk, but it will wander away soon enough. There’s also tobacco, flowers and tar. Mushrooms and chestnut and a sense of the warmth of 1997. Mint, menthol, a sender of gaminess. Chestnuts as well. Really well put together aromas after the funk blow off. A sense of harmony. Wood shavings. So old school. Dynamite nose. Juicy and so deep with unreal tannins and such purity and depth. Huge cherry fruit and a lovely gamey, feral quality. Palate has structure to burn and will really really age for another 10-15 years. This is a stunning stunning bottle. So juicy and super elegant despite being substantial with how much fruit and structure there is. Just a ridiculous bottle. — 7 years ago
Alcohol integrated wonderfully considering this is a whopping 15.5%. A food friendly wine and very approachable considering the style. Great way to get a Napa drinker to wander into Spain. — 8 years ago
bold dark red Apple and mahogony up front, full bodied, long finishing with a spicy cherry finish — 11 years ago

Imagine standing beside a French barn with a stone base over rough timber. The door is open with horses inside. Olive trees and tilled soil to one side. Violets, prickly roses, and lilacs grow wild to the other side. After some air, the horses wander away. — 6 years ago
