Not usually a fan of Burgundy's. This one surprised with a delicate floral nose followed by great tastes of strawberries and cranberries. The wine was nicely balanced and the finish showed nicely with great fruit, and some faint notes of smoke. A real treat as we did a direct comparison to a 2012 Walt Clos Pepe. Very different styles but both had great positive characteristics. — 8 years ago

Whenever we see a Gaps Crown Pinot, we buy it and drink it soon after. Our favorite remains the Walt, but as these are cousins , they shouldn't mind the mention in my review. Raspberries and cassis- and basil, but that might be from my homegrown pesto tonight, not the wine. — 7 years ago
