Good blend, Wahluke Slope always delivers. Curious to see how this wine will evolve as it breathes. 10/5/18 upped the rating to 90pts, cassis and boysenberry balanced with nice acidity. This is a great blend. — 8 years ago
Extremely drinkable, rich and bold flavors, strong jam, smooth finish. Love this! — 8 years ago
Fabulous!!! Christmas dinner with prime rib. marionberry fruit and white pepper and a warm spiciness - bit of nutmeg. New world/old world bridge kind of wine. — 9 years ago
Subtly sweet (think prunes) and spicy. Needs some air time (still young), but it sure tastes good once it opens a little. What I like most is a cherry and tobacco sense that keeps lingering long after you swallow. This is yum! — 9 years ago
Big fan of Powers and this doesn't disappoint... Bold with lingering red fruit... Pairing my steak perfectly... Colombia next stop... — 9 years ago

From the walluke slope 70 merlot 15 Cabernet Sauvignon and 13 Cabernet franc 2 petit Verdot. Stone tree vineyard, sweet tobacco spice dark cherry red currant berry fruit fine tannins with lovely freshness notes of olive and floral loamy earth notes. Most excellent — 12 years ago
I love this wine, year after year. Densely extracted, deep purple-red. White pepper, black currant, mint, mushroom (well, Chinese black fungus is better, but not so familiar to most, so close enough) and other herbal notes in nose. White pepper, berry, maybe blackberry flavors, soft mouthfeel, tart seed bitterness, berry in finish. Some skin astringency and white pepper in aftertaste. Love the complexity; flavors are expressive and varietally on point. I’m not sure if further flavor integration with aging is possible, nor if further aging can improve on the current acid-alcohol-tannin balance. But that may just reflect the fact I drink up my wines too quickly to age them sufficiently. After their Jongleur-Petit Verdot, this is my favorite red of theirs. Also note how different the tasting notes are for this vs. a year ago. Is it just me, or are the wine dynamics really changing that much? — 7 years ago
Wonderful fragrance with just the right tannins. — 8 years ago

Lovely blend of zin, cab sauv, merlot, malbec & syrah. Wish we had purchased more when we visited the winery. Setenta- created for the founder's 70th birthday. — 9 years ago
Just silly smooth. Almost like a bold Pinot Noir but a little bolder. Finishes clean, slightly sweet at the end. Delicious right out of the bottle. — 10 years ago

Deep, inky, juicy Malbec. Great stuff! — 8 years ago
Ripe and sweet blackcurrants. Powerful and long. — 9 years ago
Damn, this 2014 vintage is now my favorite WA state Zin, period! Yes, it's hot (16.9%), but Zin is usually hot. This is packed with big, jammy black fruit that eases into sweet leather and peppery notes. This is freaking great!! — 9 years ago

2011 Vintage. Good mineral notes, medium body. Needs to decant for 2+ hours to really open up. — 11 years ago
One of my favorite regions of Washington. Damp cellar , wet tobacco and a peppery finish made me think about this wine. — 11 years ago
