Fantastic Philosopher’s Stone blend from W.T. Vintners. The club members are lucky to get this wine. It has the funk from Stoney Vine, Pepper from Boushey, and the smoothness and complexity from Les Collines. — 6 years ago

The nose! Deep dark fruit, a little funk, lots of pepper, little nuances; I could smell this all night. Wine needs some time to open up, a little flat when you pour right after. This is one that needs some patience.
This wine continues to open up. The pepper has layers to it and the fruit is smooth. This is a very nice wine. Would age even a few more years. Jeff is killing it with Boushey fruit. — 6 years ago

The 2014 W.T. Stony Vine Vineyards Syrah reverberates with abundant blackberry and black cherry notes couched in a complex melange of green hay, black licorice, Chinese 5-Spice, sassafras, roasted meat, and green peppercorn. Medium weight, very Rhône-like in its countenance. Fresh and vivid, nicely balanced, and graced with a minerally vein that suspends itself over the tongue. An absolute joy to drink.
