This was an amazing bottle once it had time to breath. I'm only sorry I don't have another. — 11 years ago
A touch of dust but still gangbusters on the fruit. Coke-y sweetness and a cool time machine of a wine — 11 years ago
enjoying with pork loin and apples — 11 years ago
After only a few sips I'm entranced. Subdued smokey fruit, a bit of minerality and great acid, mild tannins. This is a well crafted wine. Will definitely get more of this. Excellent. — 12 years ago
5th wine of the 1987 flight. Drinking great still! Great fruit and structure after all these years! — 9 years ago
Lite and crisp. Great for the price. — 9 years ago
2009 has made a wine that is more accessible now, feel free to open it up but make sure to give it plenty of air. The nose is generous, tar, roses, sappy red fruits and licorice, savory for sure. The palate is a little less generous and firm, but unlike 2010, more enjoyable now.

Cantaloupe, honeydew, lime zest on the palate. Subtle grassy hints, lemon lime, salt air on the nose. Enjoyable if simple. — 9 years ago

Watch the wickets... Nice wine from a great producer — 11 years ago
Surprise! Bordeaux like in the nose showing cassis, cedar and mocha. This was the best 65 that I have ever tasted and everyone's favorite of the flight. — 11 years ago
Sparkling, sweet — 11 years ago

A lot going on but still too young. The tannins are too powerful and intense for me. But there is a lot of dark fruit and complexity present. — 8 years ago
