Refreshing, well balanced acidity — 9 years ago
Mahogany color with molasses, caramel, espresso, bittersweet chocolate and subtle baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied, viscous, and very persistent with a supple mouth feel that's beautifully balanced with a penetrating acidity that keep it from being cloying and persistent with very good acidity that keeps it from being cloying and provides balance. It shows very sweet flavors of molasses, honey-dipped figs, dates, caramel, and baking spice nuanced citrus note with a kiss of oxidation that adds to its allure and complexity. Not the greatest wine — 11 years ago
Color of inky bubbly purple, with some ruby note. Nose of some oak, fresh grapes, spice, a bit cherry, quite average. Taste of raisin, fermented cabbage, oak, grape skins, a bit zest, and almost nonexistent tannins. Aftertaste of some more grape skins, a bit cocoa, and a bit earthy, definitely not a bold powerful Syrah. — 7 years ago
What is not to love about this wine. 30 yrs in a barrel on average.
Dark dried fruit, acidity and lean long sweet length.
When in Jerez , enjoy with a dbl espresso!

Notes of luscious caramel syrup with hazelnuts and raisins — 8 years ago
So smooth, full of characteristic elements. Excellent with grilled shrimp and Caesar salad, would do nicely with any white fish.

Superbly refreshing. A well made minimally oaked Chard that over delivers way above its price point. Unmistakenly Californian with its toasted oak notes. But it was the mouth feel that blows me away: tons of fresh tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple. Probably the only Cali Chard I like this year! — 9 years ago
Fronted by rich explosion of berries, this wine heralds a blissful enthusiasm across your mouth. — 10 years ago
Another amazing French style wine from Oregon that *isn’t* Pinot Noir. Southern Oregon is really where it’s at. — 10 years ago
