Amazing with seafood on a hot day! Beautiful wine!! — 5 years ago
If there is a Croatian wine that should be tasted, it is this one. Unfortunately not many people have heard of this one. Usually people hear about, and try Dingac from some bigger, or more exposed winery. But this is really something else.
I like to drink it at a bit higher temperatures. It releases all of its greatness.
Unfortunately, practically the only place to buy it is in the Lucic winery in Pijavicino, Peljesac peninsula. I know you can drink it in one restaurant in Dubrovnik, but not sure which one.
If you are passing nearby Pijavicino, it would be such a shame not to buy this. Trust me, you will not regret getting it. The only thing you could regret is not buying more, like I am. — 6 years ago
full bodied wine. High in alcohol, but you don’t necessarily taste it. It is well balanced. — 7 years ago
I dug this example of the varietal quite a bit. Enjoyed at the lovely Malvasija wine bar in Dubrovnik; seek this out if you want a dry white that is a pleasant sip of white peaches, apples, and lemon meringue. — 8 years ago
Good wine from southern Croatia. Interesting, it is good even if we drink it much cooler than 17-19 °C as producer suggests. — 4 years ago
First time trying plavac Mali. Suggestion from server at Croatian restaurant. Nicely balanced wine. Paired will with smoky meat meal. Cooked down berry and non peppercorn spice. More on the earth side than fruit side for palette. Super clean finish. Fun to drink — 7 years ago
Excellent. Bright and paired well with a pot roast - brought out more acidity and cut through the richness. — 7 years ago
Very dry and smooth — 8 years ago

One of the best Croatian wines we’ve had! — 6 years ago
Celebration with best friends. This is an excellent plavac mali, rich snd complex, with polished soft but plentiful tannins and decent acidity. Black fruits, prunes, some floral aromas and spices as well. — 7 years ago
Hvar / 2016 — 8 years ago
Well balanced, full body, black fruits like plum and dark berries. Hints of leather, nice tannins leave a relatively long finish to the wine. Well done. — 8 years ago
Vin d’Ottawa
Real glouglou with round plum-blackberry flavours and some black tea toward its finish.
My first Croatian wine. — 3 years ago
